The challenge
A leading global PC and laptop brand sells through authorised dealer stores across India. Plenty of people were browsing for laptops online close to those stores. The brief was to get them to walk in and buy.
That meant two things. Each buyer had to be sent to the dealer nearest to them, and every lead had to be tracked to a physical outcome at the counter, so the channel could be judged on store visits and sales and not on lead count alone.
What we did
A hyperlocal display program
- Ran a single hyperlocal display campaign on a leading classifieds platform, where people were already browsing with intent to buy
- Routed high-intent buyers to their nearest authorised dealer
- Used one engine for the whole country and activated it store by store
Tracking every lead to the counter
- Followed each lead from the first click to the sale in store
- Counted a store visit only when the lead carried the "Store Visit" disposition, and a sale only when it was marked "Successful Sale"
- Calculated every conversion rate against the total lead pool, so the numbers show how the channel performs end to end
- Pulled all figures directly from the lead-level export, with no estimates added
The results
Data window: 5 Aug to 20 Sep 2026, one hyperlocal display campaign.
The funnel
- 1,735 qualified leads generated
- 97 store visits, which is 5.59% of all leads
- 69 laptops sold, which is 3.98% of all leads
- 71.1% of walk-ins bought a laptop
Month by month
- August 2026 (5 to 31 Aug, full window): 904 leads, 52 store visits and 43 sales. Lead to visit was 5.75% and lead to sale was 4.76%
- September 2026 (1 to 20 Sep, partial): 831 leads, 45 store visits and 26 sales. Lead to visit was 5.42% and lead to sale was 3.13%
September covers only the first 20 days, and its most recent leads are still working through the store pipeline. Its lead to sale figure is a floor, so the lower rate is not a real drop.
What the numbers show
- Demand is growing. August ran at about 33 leads a day and September at roughly 42, a 24% jump in daily volume
- Lead quality held. Close to 6 in every 100 leads walked into a store in both months
- Walk-ins buy. On August's fully matured leads, 83% of store visitors bought a laptop
- The reach is national. Sales came from 49 dealer stores, in states including Haryana, Gujarat, West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh
